Soldiers of the Skala Battalion secure the village of Rozdolne
Soldiers of the 425th Skala Separate Assault Battalion performed a counterattack and secured the village of Rozdolne, Donetsk region, from the invaders.
This was reported in a video published by the Battalion.
The battle resulted in the destruction of an enemy assault group and the capture of two invaders.
The assault was executed by two assault groups of six soldiers each. The assault groups quickly “flew” armored vehicles into the village and took cover in the outer houses.
According to the assaultmen, immediately afterward, they were shelled with mortars and tried to be hit with FPV and drone drops. One of the soldiers shared that he counted over 30-40 enemy FPV kamikazes.
Another problem was that communication with the command was lost almost immediately. The platoon commander, call sing “Boss,” whose men had gone to the assault, personally went to the soldiers after losing contact, taking two more soldiers to help him to restore control of the unit.
After arriving on foot and using two additional antennas, he managed to restore communication with the command post, which allowed him to continue the assault.
After the enemy stopped attacking the stormtroopers with drones, they started clearing the village and destroying several pockets of resistance from the invaders, who were holed up in houses and basements.
After the village was cleared, a reinforcement group arrived to replace the assault teams, after which the assaulters returned to their deployment point.
However, according to the “Boss,” the enemy continues to try to capture the village with small infantry groups trying to gain a foothold in the outer buildings. The enemy infantry is destroyed by fire and cleared by assault groups.
As of December 7, 2024, the village of Rozdolne, cleared by the 425th Battalion, is shown on the DeepState map as occupied by Russian troops. At the same time, the village of Novyi Komar, which the 48th Battalion liberated, is marked as retaken.
The 425th Separate Assault Battalion is regularly involved in assault operations to drive the enemy out of captured positions. For example, at the end of November, soldiers of the 425th Separate Assault Battalion stormed enemy positions near the village of Mykolayivka.
As a result of the battle, the battalion’s soldiers captured the invaders’ stronghold and destroyed the infantry there.
