Spain handed over SUVs and ambulances to Ukraine
The Ministry of Defense of Spain handed over a convoy of cars, ambulances and medical equipment to Ukraine.
Minister of Defense of the country Margarita Robles was present at the departure of the convoy today, the website of the Ministry of Defense of Spain reported.
The supply is designed for the priority logistical and medical needs of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
This includes Anibal army SUVs, ambulances and five tons of various medical supplies.
Twelve more trucks will also be sent by sea from Spain in the coming days.
Vehicles and medical supplies were provided from the reserves of the country’s armed forces, and the transport was organized by the Spanish military unit, which provides logistical support for operations and exercises both in the national territory and in operations abroad.
Over the next few days, 12 more heavy vehicles will be sent by sea to an allied port near Ukraine, and from there by land to a Polish logistics center.
On October 1, Spain sent hundreds of kilograms of medicines to Ukraine and took wounded soldiers for treatment.
The C-295 military medical transport aircraft of the Spanish Air Force departed for Poland. The plane was transporting 300 kilograms of medicines for the needs of Ukraine and took eight wounded soldiers for treatment.
In September, Spain handed Ukraine 75 pallets of large-caliber ammunition.
Transport aircraft of the Air Force of the Spanish Armed Forces made 5 flights to deliver all ammunition for the Ukrainian artillery.
The Spanish army also joined the process of training the Ukrainian militarywar on its territory.
