Spain is preparing to transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine air defense equipment and armored personnel carriers.

The Infodefense reported about this.

It is reported that during August, the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Spain prepared weapons and equipment for Ukraine.

The list includes more than 1,000 artillery rounds in 75 pallets with a volume of one cubic meter each. The shells will be sent in cooperation with an allied country. They will be delivered in September.

The M113 tracked armored personnel carriers, which have undergone major repairs, also will be handed over to Ukraine. Previously, it was reported to be about 20 units.

Spain has prepared a full battery of anti-aircraft defenses and missiles for it. In June, the Shorad Aspide air defense system transfer was announced. The country also offered to train the Ukrainian servicemen in the operation and maintenance of these weapons.

Currently, the delivery date for this weapon has not been announced.

In addition, the purchase and delivery to Ukraine of 1,000 tons of diesel fuel for an approximate amount of €2.5 million is allowed.

Spain also coordinates actions with the allied countries regarding the training of the Ukrainian servicemen by Spanish instructors.

This training, if it is approved, will be included in a possible future mission of the European Union to train the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A significant load of uniforms and additional equipment for the cold climate was prepared. The supply will consist of about 30,000 units of cold weather uniforms, 15,600 jackets, 15,000 outdoor suits, and several thousand additional clothing and coats. This batch of over 1,600 pallets will be ready to ship in September.

As previously reported, at the beginning of August, the Spanish government decided not to transfer Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, as they are in inadequate condition.
