Special Group “Alpha” operators were armed with strike hexacopters
Operators of the SSU’s Special Group “Alpha” received strike hexacopters.
The Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation reported this.
Hexacopters under the name “White Wolf” received thermal imaging cameras on a gyrostabilized platform.
In addition, five sets of ground equipment were handed over, including:
- ground control station;
- directional antennas;
- control channel repeaters;
- chargers;
- transportation containers.
82 LD 50000mah 22.8V 3C power batteries were transferred to operate the drones.
In total, 5 UAS were transferred, consisting of two UAVs and a ground station in each.
“All this is worth UAH 13 125 000,00. And 10 million of this amount was personally closed by Mr. Tomash Fiala, CEO of Dragon Capital,” said Serhiy Prytula.
The White Wolf hexacopters are capable of dropping up to 6 rounds of ammunition on the enemy, which are mounted under the drone.
Ukraine also has a large Vampire attack hexacopter manufactured by the Ukrainian company SkyFall.
The drone lifts the payload weighing up to 15 kg to a height of 400 m.
This makes it possible to use the domestic UAV to drop various types of ammunition on the enemy: thermobaric, HEAT, and high-explosive. These munitions can destroy vehicles, light armored vehicles, and tanks.
The drone is controlled by the operator using a remote control. Control is provided by radio and GPS. The developers claim that if the signal is jammed, the drone will continue to fly until the signal is restored. Some of the drone’s components are made using 3D printers.
