On the night of September 1, drones attacked several power plants in Russia.

The strike drones attacked several state district power plants in the Tver and Moscow regions.

The Russian authorities claimed it was air defense, but eyewitnesses reported direct hits on energy facilities.

In the Tver region, a UAV attacked the Konakovo SDPP.

Governor Ihor Rudenya claims that air defense forces allegedly shot down a drone near the town of Konakovo, and a total of 5 UAVs were spotted approaching the settlement.

At the same time, eyewitnesses reported a fire in Konakovo, where one of the largest power plants in central Russia is located.

A fire also broke out at the Kashirskaya SDPP in the Moscow region.

Kremlin propagandists cited local authorities as saying that three drones had attempted to attack the territory of the power plant at night.

Eyewitnesses posted a video capturing an explosion in the area of the Kashirskaya SDPP.

According to eyewitnesses, a fire broke out on the territory of the power plant after the drone attack.

Local officials claim “there was no fire, and electricity is being supplied to customers promptly.” It is also reported that emergency services are working at the site.

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that air defense systems spotted 158 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs during the night.
