Su-34 fighter-bombers were destroyed and damaged at Morozovsk military air base
A Su-34 fighter-bomber was destroyed and several others were damaged as a result of a Ukrainian strike at the Russian Morozovsk military air base.
The attack also destroyed an ammunition depot.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported this and published satellite images that confirm this.
The attack on the Russian Morozovsk military air base in the Rostov region was carried out on the night of August 3.
According to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, which relies on space intelligence, a Su-34 fighter-bomber was destroyed at the Russian air base.
Two other Russian military aircraft of the same type were probably damaged by the debris.
Explosion craters were recorded near the sides.
A Ukrainian strike destroyed an aviation ammunition depot at the Russian Morozovsk military air base.
Due to the ongoing secondary detonation of ammunition, large areas of scorched ground can be seen on and around the Russian military air base.
“Four technical buildings and two hangars at the Morozovsk military air base, located 265 kilometers from the front line, also suffered damage visible from space,” the DIU said.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the strike was carried out by the forces and means of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine in cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Morozovsk military air base is a base for Su-34 frontline bombers, which drop guided bombs with UMPK kits and launch cruise missiles at civilian facilities in Ukraine.
