Taipan-100 bomber drones handed over to Tymur special unit
Ukrainian Special Forces from the Tymur unit received new Taipan-100 bomber drones.
The KOLO charitable foundation said that one Taipan-100 strike unmanned aerial system included 2 bomber drones.
Recently, the foundation handed over a batch of aid worth UAH 5,369,384 to the special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, which was raised as part of the Hurkit project.
The batch includes:
- 1 Taipan-100 strike UAS with 2 bomber UAVs;
- 18 bomber drones with different video and control frequencies;
- 6 Partyphone by TORO ground control stations for drones;
- 10 spectrum analyzers for drone detection.
“And all this pile of special-purpose equipment is masterfully combined into a single complex to destroy the invaders,” the foundation said.
The first version of Taipan-100 strike bomber drone has a combat radius of up to 120 kilometers.
It is stated that the system was almost impossible to suppress due to the peculiarities of the signal transmission and constant change of control frequencies.
The Taipan-100 will enable the Tymur special unit operators to fly long distances behind enemy lines and hit high value targets.
The Partyphone by TORO ground control stations will increase the maximum possible range of the drone.
“Expensive equipment and infrastructure facilities behind enemy lines are within the range of bombers and kamikaze drones,” the foundation said.
Also, the ground stations for FPV drones increase the accuracy of targeting and image stability during rapid attacks on enemy vehicles that move quickly.
Earlier, the KOLO Foundation handed over a batch of Sych drones to the Ukrainian military. These drones can perform both reconnaissance and strike missions. The board can carry up to 4 kg of ammunition – 2 kg on each side.
