Russian volunteers of Ukraine entered the Belgorod region with tanks.

Armored vehicles were heading to the Russian settlement of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Shebekinsky District.

Soldiers of the Freedom of Russia Legion noted that they had taken favorable positions to continue the fight.

Soldiers of the Russian Volunteer Corps unit are also participating in the battles.

As the volunteers noted, they did not encounter any special obstacles or fortifications on the way to the Russian settlement.

“As you can see, the notorious “dragon’s teeth” have successfully gone through the pockets of officials. The liberation forces of the Freedom of Russia Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps rode with the wind and took advantageous positions,” the statement says.

In turn, the Russian governor Vyacheslav Gladkov declared that “today there is no enemy on the territory of the Belgorod region.”

“Many people ask about Novaya Tavolzhanka. There is no enemy on the territory of Novaya Tavolzhanka,” Gladkov claimed.

In response, soldiers of the Russian Volunteer Corps declared that the Russian authorities had abandoned Novaya Tavolzhanka, and now they are taking power “into their own hands.”

“It is quite predictable that Moscow is not interested in the fate of the province, and Mr. Gladkov has lost control over the situation: armed marauders are in Shebekino, and Novaya Tavolzhanka is simply abandoned,” the Russian Volunteer Corps said.

On June 4, the Russian Volunteer Corps unit and the Freedom of Russia Legion, fighting on the side of Ukraine, announced a raid in the Belgorod region and later published a video reportedly shot in Novaya Tavolzhanka.

On June 4 and 5, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation issued statements in which they claimed that “Ukrainian forces” tried to cross the river in the area of Novaya Tavolzhanka, but were pushed back. Already on June 5, the Russian Volunteer Corps announced that they continued controlling Novaya Tavolzhanka. In the evening of the same day, Gladkov announced that representatives of the regional authorities “cannot enter” Novaya Tavolzhanka, while not specifying why.
