The Ukrainian military destroyed a rare Russian RBU-6000 truck-based rocket launcher.

The press service of the 45th Artillery Brigade published the video of the incident.

The footage, taken by the unit’s aerial reconnaissance, captures the movement of a truck with an RBU-6000 bomb launcher.

It was designed to be mounted on surface ships for anti-submarine warfare.

However, due to the lack of artillery systems on the front lines, the Russians started to install naval weapons on ground equipment.

The self-propelled rocket launcher was discovered in close cooperation with the 80th Air Assault Brigade.

The system was destroyed in the temporarily occupied city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, at coordinates 48.577383, 37.993591.

RBU-6000s are installed on both trucks and MT-LB transporters and tanks.

The first photos capturing a rocket launcher on the MT-LB were published in September 2023.

Later, a photo of this rocket launcher mounted on a T-80B tank, which probably belongs to a Russian Navy marine unit, was also published.

The Russians did not stop there and installed it on the Ural truck, which was spotted in temporarily occupied Alchevsk in the Luhansk region.

A photo of this MRL was published in January 2024.
