The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the settlements in the east and south and moved forward – Zelensky

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced the liberation of settlements from the Russian invaders.

He told about this in the evening address on September 4.

Ukrainian troops liberated a settlement in Donetsk region and two in the south of our country.

Moreover, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced in the direction of Lysychansk — Siversk.

“Today I want to thank the soldiers of the 63rd battalion of the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade, who ensured the result in Donetsk Oblast. A settlement was liberated.

The 54th brigade in the Lysychansk-Siversk direction also made good strides, moved forward, and took high grounds.

I would also like to mention the 42nd Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion. Thanks to its heroic actions, two settlements in the south of our country were liberated,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.

The President did not name the settlements liberated from the invaders.

The spokesperson of Operational Command “South” reported that on September 4, 2022, the Ukrainian servicemen destroyed more than 100 invaders, 6 tanks, 9 howitzers and a drone in the south.

Missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to carry out fire missions in intensive numbers. Crossings through the Dnipro River and Ingulets River are under close fire control.

“The results of the combat day include the losses of the enemy army in the amount of 104 rocket launchers, 6 tanks, 26 units of other armored and automotive equipment, 9 Msta-S howitzers and Msta-B, as well as the Eleron-10 air reconnaissance system,” Operational Command “South” reported.

Ukrainian forces also destroyed an enemy ammunition depot, a pontoon crossing, damaged a control post and two control and observation points of the enemy’s battalion tactical groups.
