On the night of August 14, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Antonivsky bridge in the Kherson Region once again.

Nataliya Humenyuk, a spokesperson for the press center of the Southern Defense Forces, stated this on the air of the telethon. A blow was struck again at the Antonivsky Bridge to “permanently secure its status as impassable.”

“We continue fire control over transport and logistics arteries in the temporarily occupied territory, as we have a clear intention to help the occupiers make the right decision and direct their next “gesture of good will” in the direction we need,” Humenyuk said.

A video featuring night strikes on the bridge appeared on the network.

The video also captured the operation of Russian air defense.

The released footage features the Russian air defense, which can’t intercept GMLRS missiles.

The GMLRS is a family of American 227 mm guided missiles. These munitions are classified as high-precision and are used for the HIMARS and M270 systems.

The M142 HIMARS carries six such missiles, the M270 MLRS has twice as many – twelve.

At the beginning of June, it was reported that Great Britain would transfer GMLRS missiles in the M31A1 version to Ukraine.

The M31A1 is an improved version of the M31. The M31 projectile is a derivative of the M30 with a unitary high-explosive warhead weighing 90 kg for use in urban and mountainous terrain. A new ESAF detonator is used, which has three modes of operation: approach, impact and with a delay after impact. Range of use of RS — from 15 to 84 kilometers.

The new aid package from the US also provides for the transfer of additional HIMARS missiles to Ukraine.
