The Belarusian military are conducting training on the illegal armed groups activities interdiction on border with Ukraine
A concentration of military equipment of the Belarusian Armed Forces is observed in Stolin, Brest Oblast, 12 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
The Belaruski Gayun monitoring group reported this on its Telegram channel.
The Belarusian border guards are conducting training on stopping the activities of illegal armed groups.
The Special Operations Forces were also spotted in the city.
The concentration of troops is related to the training of illegal armed groups in the city on September 3-4. Local media reported on the exercise.
Local residents were warned that explosions, the movement of special equipment, and traffic restrictions on 5 streets of the city were possible during the training.
The Belaruski Gayun monitoring group reminds that during the tactical exercises held in August with the 6th Mechanized Brigade, the fight against illegal armed formations was practiced.
In June, the Storm-Anti-Terror 2024 exercise was held in the Brest region, during which interagency cooperation was practiced during a counterterrorism operation.
Militarnyi previously reported that the Armed Forces of Belarus deployed another group of signal corps soldiers to undergo training in Russia.
The group stated that the soldiers belong to the 127th Communications Brigade of military unit 30677, based in Kalodzishchy, Minsk district.
The specific nature of the exercises these Belarusian signal corps soldiers will participate in was not disclosed.
On August 25, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on Belarus to withdraw its troops from the Ukrainian border to a distance beyond the range of the neighboring country’s combat systems.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Armed Forces of Belarus are concentrating military personnel, equipment, tanks, artillery, MLRS, and air defense systems in the Gomel region near Ukraine’s northern border under the guise of exercises.
