The Come Back Alive Foundation is negotiating on the purchase of new foreign military goods.

This was announced by Taras Chmut, director of the Come Back Alive Foundation, after visiting the MSPO International Defence Industry Exhibition 2022.

New equipment is needed to strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

“During the exhibition in Poland, my colleagues and I held a number of meetings with European manufacturers of heavy infantry weapons, such as large-caliber machine guns and automatic grenade launchers.

Generally, the Foundation has many ideas for future contracts. In particular, we would like to replace some of the pickups in the mobile firing units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with armored vehicles, which would significantly increase the protection of crews,” commented Taras Chmut.

During the exhibition, the Foundation’s team considered the possibility of purchasing new anti-aircraft systems, communication equipment of various types, unmanned aircraft systems, and optics for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Besides, within the framework of the defense fair, we held our own press conference, where we talked about the work of the Come Back Alive Foundation, the course of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the urgent need to continue supplying weapons from partners to Ukraine,” Chmut added.

In Poland, the director of the Foundation had a personal meeting with the general director of the Turkish company Baykar Haluk Bayraktar, and Oleh Korostelov, the head of the Ukrainian enterprise Luch Design Bureau, managed to discuss the likely purchase of training simulators of domestic anti-tank missile systems, as well as the expansion of combat capabilities of the already delivered Stugna-P ATGMs.

The Fund also implemented a large-scale project to purchase armored vehicles for the Ukrainian military. Due to the donations from benefactors, it was possible to purchase 11 LC79 APC-SH Fighter 2 armored vehicles with a total cost of 2 million 321 thousand euros.

The vehicle is intended for Mykhailo Bilynskyi, the Rear Admiral of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, who previously defended Mariupol.

The Come Back Alive Foundation also acquired the Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aircraft systems, with a total value of US $16,502,450. The Foundation said that this is the largest project implemented by them.

The Come Back Alive Foundation already has agreements on further cooperation with the Turkish company Baykar. In August, the Found signed a memorandum of further partnership with this manufacturer.
