Colonel Aleksandr Bezpalov, Commander of the 59th Panzer Regiment of the RF Armed Forces, was neutralized in Ukraine.

Militarnyi informs about this with reference to the AFU StratCom.

Ukrainian servicemen have published the identity card of the killed Russian commander.

Russian media confirm his death. 74.RU reports that Bezpalov has already been buried on April 8, 2022, in the city of Ozersk, Chelyabinsk region.

Interestingly, Yuriy Butusov, Editor of Censor.Net, had published Bezpalov’s documents back on March 30. He noted that his ID and documents of other Russian military were found in the pockets of corpses, which were difficult to identify.

The 59th Panzer Regiment is part of the 144th Panzer Division. It is based in Yelnya, Smolensk region. The regiment has been participating in the invasion of Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Units of the regiment were destroyed during the cleanup of Mala Rohan near Kharkiv.
