Serhiy Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, announced that the de-occupation of the Luhansk region has started.

He shared this in an address posted in his Telegram channel.

Haidai noted that several settlements were liberated yet did not announce their names.

“Well, now it is official. The de-occupation of the Luhansk region has started. Several settlements have already been liberated from the Russian military, and there, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already raising the Ukrainian flag,” Serhiy Haidai said.

On September 19, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region.

Serhiy Haidai claimed that this is not the only settlement in the region where the clearing from invaders has already begun. At the same time, he noted that the invaders are fleeing from their positions.

In his evening address on October 4, Volodymyr Zelensky announced the liberation of eight settlements in the Kherson region.

The de-occupation of the Kharkiv region is also ongoing.

As previously reported, on October 5, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, where the continuation of the de-occupation of the territory of Ukraine was discussed.

Special attention was paid to stabilizing the situation in the newly deoccupied territories. Separately, they discussed the issue of countering new types of weapons used by the Russian army and the preparation of the Ukrainian military for the winter period.
