The first cargo ship with grain leaves Odesa port
The first cargo ship carrying Ukrainian grain headed to Lebanon from the port of Odesa.
Sierra Leone-flagged cargo ship Razoni, carrying corn, headed to the port of Istanbul, Turkey.
The cargo ship Razoni is carrying 26,000 tons of Ukrainian corn.
This is the first ship’s departure that is also aimed at checking of the corridor, communication and other procedures.
Appropriate decisions will be made based on the results of this ship’s departure.
“The Ukrainian Naval Forces, together with their comrades of the forces, are making every effort to ensure the safety of shipping in order to overcome the food crisis,” the Ukrainian Naval Forces said in a statement.
Turkey believes that despite the fact that hostilities in Ukraine continue, the creation of grain corridors and the successful transportation of Ukrainian grain may contribute to the start of peace talks between the warring parties.
Turkish media also informed that the first convoy should include 16 ships that will arrive in Turkey by August 3.
To date, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are strengthening their presence in the Black Sea.
According to the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy has activated its aviation forces in the northwestern part of the Black Sea region.
As previously reported, on 27 July, the Ukrainian Naval Forces reported on the Pivdennyi and Odesa ports deblocking.
The Ukrainian Navy emphasized that despite Russian invasion and countless attacks, the Ukrainian servicemen continue to perform their work in all directions, in particular, restoring shipping to ensure grain export.
