The Russians do not stop assaulting the Azovstal in Mariupol.

This time, the incendiary bombs were launched.

Petro Andriushchenko, Advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol, has reported this.

“For the first time, the invaders deployed incendiary or phosphorous bombs against the Mariupol Defenders (we will let experts determine the exact type of ammunition deployed). The invaders claim that they have used 9M22S incendiary projectiles,” he wrote.

This is not the first case of the occupying forces using such weapons in Ukraine.

9M22S is deployed by the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers. Replacing the regular high-explosive fragmentation warhead of the 9M22 missile, the 9M22S missile carries the 9H510 warhead.

The warhead of this missile consists of 180 incendiary combat elements made of ML5 magnesium alloy and filled with a pyrotechnic composition similar to termite.

The 9M22S incendiary projectile is designed to destroy enemy manpower and equipment by creating mass fires, as well as through direct hits.

Russian troops continue engaging all forces and means to assault the Azovstal.

Approximately 600 dangerously wounded servicemen remain in the shelters of the blocked plant. Due to difficult conditions and lack of medicines, they cannot receive the required medical care.

Ukraine is involving a number of countries around the world, including Israel, Switzerland, Turkey, and Finland, in conversations with Russia on the evacuation of troops from the Azovstal plant in Mariupol.

Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories claimed that the special evacuation operation from Azovstal will begin with the rescue of severely wounded servicemen and will be conducted in several stages.
