The ‘Liut’ Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine received American M113 armored personnel carriers.

Ukrainian Armor reported on this.

The armored personnel carriers will become a reliable working vehicle for the brigade to transport infantry.

Thanks to the powerful armor of the M113, the crew and troops will have an advantage on the battlefield, as the ballistic protection will protect against 7.62 and 12.7-mm bullets.

The ‘Liut’ (Rage – ed.) Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine was formed in January 2013 and has been receiving new weapons since then to enhance the unit’s capabilities.

The armored personnel carrier is equipped with a Browning 12.7-mm machine gun, which is capable of destroying enemy infantry at long distances.

In addition, the machine gun performs well when used in wooded areas.

The M113’s squad compartment can accommodate 11 soldiers in equipment, and the vehicle can move at a speed of 30-40 km/h over rough terrain.

According to Ukrainian Armor, the armored personnel carriers are already helping the soldiers of the brigade perform combat missions on the front line.

Militarnyi previously reported that Sweden would transfer all its Pansarbandvagn 302 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian military is currently forming a number of new brigades and therefore needs additional armored vehicles.

The Pbv 302 armored personnel carriers will be supplied with spare parts, maintenance equipment, and ammunition.
