The Come Back Alive Foundation has delivered 60 special sights for American Mk 19 grenade launchers to the Ukrainian military.

The Foundation’s press service announced this on its social media.

The sights for the 40-mm grenade launchers allow firing from a closed position.

The transfer took place within the framework of a joint project called “Prytsilno” (Aimed) of the Come Back Alive Foundation and Ukrainer.

These 60 sights for Mk 19 grenade launchers are already in use in the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces at the frontline.

The cost of the sights already transferred within the “Prytsilno” (Aimed) project is about UAH 5.2 million.

To implement this project, the Come Back Alive Foundation instructor department designed this sight based on the principle of an artillery sight.

The sight helps the crews hit the target without additional shooting and fire from safer, closed firing positions.

It is emphasized that the standard sight for the Mk 19 allows for direct fire only, which significantly reduces the potential of the grenade launcher and exposes its operators to additional danger.

The Come Back Alive Foundation plans to supply 11 brigades and units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces with such special sights.

The first batch of 35 sights was delivered to the Ukrainian military in October. Specifically, the air assault and separate mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received the sights for Mk 19 automatic grenade launchers.

In addition to the grenade launchers donated by the United States, the new sights can also be mounted on Ukrainian 40-mm UAG-40 automatic grenade launchers. Come Back Alive Foundation plans to purchase a hundred of them within the Eye for an Eye 2 project.
