The Regional Military Administration spoke about the strike aftermath at the oil depot in Rovenky
In the occupied Rovenky, Luhansk region, on the evening of May 10, an oil depot was hit. The day before, the oil depot in Lugansk was hit.
The Head of the Luhansk RMA Artem Lysohor said that as a result of the strike, the oil depot had received significant destruction, and there were no fuel reserves left.
The Head of the RMA emphasized that oil depots broke out one by one in the Luhansk region.
“So that local collaborators and Russians do not stay there, but they missed another warehouse with oil refining products,” Lysohor wrote.
He added that this oil depot was located far from the front line.
As a result, it will become even more difficult for the invaders to refuel military equipment.
“Most likely, you will have to use the bases located on the territory of Russia. Frankly, refueling will need to go far,” concluded the Head of the RMA.
Artem Lysohor also recalled that on the evening of May 7, the oil depot had also burned in Luhansk.
According to the Russian invaders, the attack on the oil depot in Rovenky was allegedly carried out using ATACMS long-range missiles.
“As with the recent attack on Luhansk, today’s strike on Rovenky was probably carried out by American-made ATACMS missiles with cluster ammunition,” the invaders said.
At the site of the destruction of the oil depot, the invaders also showed photos in which, probably, the M74 submunitions, which are in the ATACMS warhead.
M74 has a spherical high-explosive charge of asymmetric appearance. It also allows it to rotate in the air until the target is hit. M74 is triggered at 2400 rpm. Thus, hundreds of submunitions almost simultaneously explode on the ground.
