The Russian army started the offensive in Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions – Ministry of Defense

The aggressor’s troops intensified their offensive operation.

The main goal of the enemy is to assume full control over the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and establish the ground corridor to the occupied Crimea.

Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said this during a briefing.

“The Russian Armed Forces have intensified offensive operations in the East of Ukraine. The main goal is to establish full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, and to maintain the ground corridor with the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” Motuzyanyk said.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues to partially block Kharkiv and is shelling the city with artillery.

In the direction of Izyum – Barvinkove, the enemy activated aerial reconnaissance with the use of drones and is conducting offensive actions on the left bank of the Siversky Donets river in the directions of Andriyivka – Zavoda, Brazhkivka – Dmytrivka, and Sulygivka – Dibrovne.

It is also reported that in the Kharkiv region, the invaders are bringing in the additional Tor SAM anti-aircraft missile divisions.

S-400 and S-300 anti-aircraft missile divisions were deployed in the Belgorod region’s border areas with Ukraine to cover the main control points and rear areas.

In the Donetsk and Tavria directions, with the support of bombing aviation, the Russian army conducts offensive actions along the entire line of combat.

The main focus of the enemy was to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops. In particular, in the Luhansk region – on the lines of Kreminna-Terny, Rubizhne – Popasna, and in the Donetsk region – in the direction of Staromlynivka–Shevchenkove.

The invaders do not stop trying to establish full control over Mariupol.

In the South Bug direction, the Russian invaders are trying to make a breakthrough and gain a foothold on the administrative border of the Kherson region.

“In order to improve the tactical situation and advance to the Bug estuary, the Russians are conducting offensive operations in the area of the settlement of Oleksandrivka. The enemy does not stop shelling civilian objects in Mykolaiv,” said the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine spokesman.

The Defense Ministry spokesman added that there are four Kalibr missile carriers in the Black Sea, with a total missile arsenal of at least 28 missiles.

Motuzyanyk added that Belarus continues to provide its territory for airstrikes on the territory of Ukraine, as well as reconnaissance activities.

Previously, the US Department of Defense announced that 76 BTGs of the occupiers have been spotted in Ukraine so far, with 11 of them entering over the last few days.
