The Russians fired on their own troops after a failed assault
Russian artillery fired at its own troops after an unsuccessful assault on Ukrainian positions in the Kurakhove sector.
The press service of the 33rd Mechanized Brigade published the video.
Prior to the shelling, the enemy infantry attempted to storm and seize the positions of the 33rd Brigade and adjacent units.
Despite relatively good preparations for the assault, the enemy convoy suffered serious losses and was damaged while crossing a minefield.
The destruction of military equipment was performed with the use of FPV drones, whose pilots destroyed the remains of Russian equipment one by one.
The enemy still managed to land infantry in the forest belt, which was the responsibility of the 33rd Mechanized Brigade.
Due to significant losses and the difficult situation, seven Russian soldiers decided to surrender and, with their hands raised, first came out of the forest belt and then began to follow the drone that was supposed to lead them to the positions of the Ukrainian military.
While the Ukrainian military were following the drone, Russian artillery began to fire on the Russian prisoners of war, killing some of the soldiers.
In total, Russian troops fired three artillery shots at their fighter jets, killing several of them, but others managed to reach the brigade’s positions, thus replenishing the exchange fund.
Russians fired at their own military near the village of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, at coordinates 47.8776, 37.4279.
Militarnyi previously reported that paratroopers of the 79th Separate Tavrian Air Assault Brigade defeated Russian assault units in the Donetsk region.
The enemy launched an attack with 35 armored vehicles with troops supported by nine tanks, of which five armored vehicles were destroyed.
