
The Russians shelled Odesa with Kh-22 missiles – almost 20 people killed and dozens injured
18 people were killed and 30 people injured resulting from the rocket fire launched by the Russian troops in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of the Odesa region.
This was reported by Serhii Bratchuk, Spokesman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
At night on July 1, the Russians launched the strike on the Odesa region with missiles from bombers, and casualties were reported.
“One missile hit a 9-story residential building, the other two hit two recreation centers in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. In the 9-story building, one section was completely destroyed. As of 6:00 a.m., as a result of the impact on the high-rise building, 14 people were confirmed dead and 30 injured, including three children,” the report said.

As previously reported in Telegram by the Operational Command “South”, Russian troops shelled the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district with the Kh-22 air-based missiles launched by the Tu-22 supersonic bombers.
“As a result of a missile attack by Tu-22 strategic aviation from the direction of the Black Sea on the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of the Odesa region over the night, three Kh-22 missiles struck a multi-story apartment building and two recreation centers,” the report says.
Later, it was reported that the enemy shelled the village of Serhiyivka.
Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the President’s Office, stated that as of 8:30 a.m., at least 18 people, including 2 children, were killed, and over 30 people were injured as a result of night rocket attacks in Odesa.
Rescue operations are currently ongoing. Rescuers and investigative teams are working at the sites of the hits. The seriously injured were hospitalized in regional medical facilities.

According to the State Emergency Service, as of 10:00 a.m., 18 people were reported dead as a result of a rocket attack in the village of Serhiyivka, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district (16 people in a residential building and 2 people, including 1 child, in a recreation center). 38 people were injured (37 people, including 6 children, in a residential building, and 1 person in a recreation center). 38 people were hospitalized.
Kh-22 is a Soviet supersonic cruise long-range anti-ship missile. It is part of the K-22 aircraft missile system and is intended for the destruction of radar-contrast points and group targets. The warhead contains 960 kg of explosives.

Previously, the Russian invaders hit a shopping center in the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region with these missiles.
