The U.S. Congress is initiating the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-15 and F-16 jets

Member of the U.S. Congress has introduced the legislation introducing the training of the Ukrainian fighter jet pilots.

Congressman Adam Kinzinger stated this in his press release.

U.S. Air Force Veterans Congressman Adam Kinzinger and Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan introduced the legislation proposing to conduct training for the Ukrainian fighter jet pilots and crews using the US military air assets.

Adam Kinzinger had also published his photo with the Air Force of Ukraine pilots.

This bill would allow the United States to begin training Ukrainian pilots and aircrew members on the F-15 and F-16 fighter jets and other air platforms while the United States continues to consider sending such equipment to Ukraine.

According to the Members of Congress, it is critical for the Ukrainian servicemen to be trained and familiarized with these air platforms should Russia continue its malign campaign against Ukraine’s sovereignty.

Regardless of whether the United States and its allies would deploy this equipment, the program will strengthen Ukraine’s capabilities and ensure its long-term stability and security.

“As the Air Force veterans, we know that in any conflict, one of the first steps is to establish aerial combat supremacy. The public reporting suggests neither the Ukrainians nor the Russians have established air superiority thus far. We believe that the United States can help Ukraine change the situation in the air domain, giving Ukrainian forces a decisive advantage in the war,” the Congressman stated in his letter.

Previously, the Ukrainian fighter jet pilot with the call sign “Juice” and the Ukrainian air defense specialist Lt. Col. Denys Smazhnyi appeared on the air of the American TV channel Fox News to discuss the importance of providing additional military assistance from the United States amid the war with Russia.

“Juice”, the pilot, thanked all the American people, the US military, and the Government for their ongoing weapons support.

He called on the United States to assist Ukraine in obtaining the Western warplanes.

“… We are now discussing the Western platform to ask the US government to receive this as… high-priority aid for the Ukrainian Air Force.”
