The Ukrainian Defense Forces hit a Russian 2S7 Pion 203mm self-propelled gun in the Belgorod region.

Volunteer Serhii Sternenko published the video of the hit to Pion ACS.

A drone of the Requiem group of the Special Operations Forces hit the Russian gun.

It should be noted that the Russian forces used the gun to shell the Kharkiv region. In addition, the gun had a prepared and well-camouflaged position.

Thanks to the high skills of the military, it was possible to detect the artillery system and destroy it using a long-range FPV drone.

It should be noted that the 2S7 Pion self-propelled gun is the longest-range gun in the Russian army and can fire at a range of over 30 km.

Such a range is unattainable for Soviet-era artillery systems, as well as some Western systems using high-explosive munitions.

Because of this, counter-battery warfare against these guns is a somewhat difficult task that rocket systems and FPV drones with extended range can handle.

Militarnyi previously reported that for the first time, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces operators used attack drones to strike a Russian R-416GM communications station in the Kharkiv region.

According to the insignia, the destroyed invader system belongs to a Russian group that performs tasks in the Kharkiv sector from the territory of the Belgorod region.

In May, the operators of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit elements of the Russian 35N6 Kasta UHF-band low-altitude two-coordinate radar system.

The system’s elements were hit by a kamikaze drone, which is similar to the Ukrainian-made RAM II loitering munition.
