The state flag was solemnly raised in Izium, Kharkiv Region.

The ceremony was attended by Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, Hanna Maliar, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine, and representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other units that participated in the liberation of the city.

This was reported by the press service of the 25th Airborne Brigade.

The event kicked off with those present honoring the memory of the fallen defenders with a moment of silence.

The President of Ukraine thanked the soldiers for the liberation of the Ukrainian settlements.

As previously reported, on September 10, the Defense Forces of Ukraine liberated the city of Izium from the Russian invaders.

The Russian authorities called it a “regrouping” of their forces to “build up” power in the Donetsk direction.

At the same time, the Ukrainian servicemen liberated the city of Balakliya and, even earlier, the city of Kupiansk.

On September 11, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that the Ukrainian military reached the border with Russia.
