The Ukrainian military has advanced in the Kherson region. The soldiers liberated two settlements in the north of the region.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in his evening video address on October 2.

The head of state officially confirmed the liberation of settlements – Arkhanhelske and Myroliubivka.

“I am thankful to the soldiers of the 129th Brigade of my home town Kryvyi Rih, who distinguished themselves with good results and liberated, in particular, Arkhanhelske and Myroliubivka,” Zelensky said.

The president also emphasized that Ukrainian defenders must de-occupy all settlements of our country captured by the Russian invaders.

Today, OC “South” also reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have had partial success in the south.

The situation in the area of responsibility of the Operational Command “South” is dynamic and tense.

“Ukrainian units continue active actions, keeping the initiative within assigned territories and advancing. They have partial success in the north of the Kherson region,” the statement emphasized.

At the end of September, the soldiers of the Defense Forces of Ukraine showcased how they destroy tanks and other enemy equipment in the Kherson region with the Stugna-P anti-tank missile system.

The military has released a video featuring fragments of the combat use of anti-tank systems. The video shows the work of the 59th Motorized Brigade.

The occupation authorities in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions are trying to forcefully mobilize the local population.
