To boost the production of weapons, the Czech Republic is employing thousands of specialists from Ukraine at its defense enterprises.

Tomasz Kopechny, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, stated this in an interview with Czech Radio.

According to him, the agreement was reached during the meeting between Prime Minister Petr Fiala and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in October.

Besides, according to the deputy minister, these agreements will be beneficial for both parties, as Czech defense industry enterprises lack qualified workers.

As an example the deputy minister gives Tatra company from the Czechoslovak Group holding company that lacks five hundred workers.

Tomasz Kopechny emphasizes that the final number of Ukrainian workers will be counted in thousands. However, everything depends on how the production capacities of Czech defense companies will be increased.

At the end of October, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov and his counterpart from the Czech Republic Jana Černochová discussed further cooperation on strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Finalizing the meeting, Reznikov announced more than 50 projects with the participation of the Czech Republic to strengthen the Ukrainian army.

“A wonderful meeting with my Czech colleague Jana Černochová. On the agenda there are 50+ projects to strengthen the Ukrainian army with the participation of the Czech Republic,” Reznikov wrote.

The ministers of both countries discussed the current situation of hostilities with the Russian invaders, as well as the supply of weapons and equipment for the Ukrainian army.

In November, the Ukroboronprom State Concern announced that it was starting cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic.
