As a result, three Russian soldiers were killed, and two more were injured.
The ASTRA Telegram channel announced this on Tuesday, October 3.
According to the channel’s sources, the incident took place the previous night on the Yenakijeve-Uglegorsk railway run.
Preliminarily, the driver of the Strela-10 air defense system of the invasion army of the Russian Federation moved as part of a military convoy, but at some point, he lost control, drove off the bridge, and fell under a freight train.
The reported casualties list:
- Abai Kultasev, soldier of the military unit #58249
- Vitaliy Pagynets, soldier of the military unit #21005
- Kirill Gaichenko, soldier of the military unit #21005
The wounded include the Russian military personnel with the names Renat and Mikhail.
As a result of hitting the Strela-10 air defense system of the Russian army, the diesel locomotive derailed. There is also the reported damage to the railway track.
Strela-10 SAM is designed to destroy air targets at short range and low altitudes in conditions of visual control. The system provides direct cover of ground forces units and facilities for military and other purposes.
The base of the system is the 9А34 combat vehicle, made on the chassis of the MT-LB light-tracked armored tractor.
A few days ago, the Russian invaders tried to storm Ukrainian positions in the Tauride direction. Ukrainian positions near the recently liberated village of Urozhaine in the south of the Donetsk region were chosen for the attack.
Nevertheless, the attack of the invaders failed completely. The Russian invaders suffered losses in manpower, and their armored group was defeated.
