Ukraine has already received M109 ACS – Reznikov

The Armed Forces of Ukraine received M109 self-propelled howitzers.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov announced the receipt of weapons.

Self-propelled howitzers arrived in Ukraine as a result of cooperation between several countries that support us in the fight against Russian aggression.

The Minister noted that he was pleased to announce the news about the 155-mm artillery fleet of the Armed Forces of Ukraine being replenished.

“Ukraine has already received the M109 ACS of one of the modifications. This is very high quality equipment. And its receipt was the result of cooperation between several countries,” Oleksii Reznikov said.

As previously reported, the Netherlands, Italy, and Belgium agreed to transfer the additional weapons to Ukraine.

It was assumed that the weapons in question were American M109 self-propelled howitzers, or German PzH – 2000s.

M109 is an American self-propelled artillery system used by the United States Army as well as several other countries.

It was developed in the early 1960s.

During production, it was repeatedly modernized. It was also produced under a licensing agreement in South Korea back in the 1990s.
