Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, stated that Ukraine will send an diplomatic note to Israel regarding the provision of air defense systems.

He announced this during a briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Today, Ukraine will send an official note to the government of Israel with a request to urgently provide Ukraine with air defense systems and to start high-quality cooperation on Ukraine’s acquisition of appropriate technologies,” Kuleba said.

He also emphasized that Iran’s actions against Ukraine should become an argument for Israel to start helping Ukraine with weapons after all.

“We do not see any objective reasons why this should not happen (cooperation with Israel in the field of air defense – ed.), but it does not happen. Iran is a red line for Israel. And when Iran becomes complicit in the crime of aggression against Ukraine, I think that someone in Israel who still has some hesitations about helping Ukraine, those hesitations should be dispelled. We will work on this with our Israeli partners,” noted the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition, he announced that he was submitting to the president a proposal to cut diplomatic ties with Iran.

“Taking into account the numerous destructions caused by Iranian drones to the civil infrastructure of Ukraine, the deaths and sufferings caused to our people, as well as in connection with the reports about the possible continuation of Iran’s supply of weapons to Russia, I submit to the president’s consideration a proposal to sever diplomatic relations with Iran,” Kuleba said.

As previously reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine released a statement calling on Iran to stop supplying weapons to the Russian Federation.

In the appeal of the diplomatic service, the ministry also noted its readiness to bring Iran to justice together with the Russian Federation for crimes against Ukraine in international courts.

This regards not only to the supply of kamikaze drones, but also the possibility of supplying Russia with short- and medium-range missiles.

As previously reported, the Washington Post reported that Iran plans to transfer the Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar missiles to the Russian Federation.

After that, Israel’s Diaspora Minister Nachman Shai called for military assistance to Ukraine.
