Within the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, the United States will be transferring the modern counter-UAV systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the American AP News, this regards 12 Titan systems.

These systems are part of a $1.1 billion aid package announced by the Pentagon yesterday.

The Titan C-UAS system is developed by the BlueHalo manufacturer to counter unmanned aerial systems.

The system analyzes the UAV that needs to be neutralized and selects the most effective methods of combatting it. The developers equipped the system with an automated decision-making mechanism.

Titan C-UAS identifies the aircraft type and selects the most appropriate course of action to disable it. The system’s detection radius is 3 km, and the threat neutralization radius is 1.5 km.

The system presents as a massive block with antennas and a separate control panel. Titan can operate without operator intervention and does not require maintenance personnel to have an understanding of the intricacies of the radio frequencies used to control drones.

At the same time, the manufacturer claims that it can be deployed and configured within just five minutes.

Titan provides real-time information to the operator, identifying and classifying an individual UAV or swarm of approaching drones.

By selectively applying precise countermeasures, the counter-unmanned aerial system forces the enemy UAV to land or return to the launch site.

This system uses machine learning, elements of artificial intelligence, and software-defined hardware technologies to rapidly counter airborne threats.
