Ukrainian Air Force Command ordered overhaul of two Su-27UB fighter jets totaling UAH 181 million, reports Militarnyi.

The overhaul will be conducted at the State Enterprise “Zaporizhzhia State Aviation Repair Plant “MiGremont” which is Ukraine’s sole company to repair and upgrade Su-27 fighters and its double-seated variant Su-27UB.

The company recently presented an upgraded Su-27UP2M fighter retrofitted with a new navigation and information system, a helmet-mounted cuing and indication system, and an automatic dispensing of flares.

The new digital processor in the weapons control system will significantly expand the combat capabilities of the aircraft both in the air and for the engaging of ground targets in the combat use of the entire range of ammunition.

In early November, we informed that the team of the State Research Institute for Testing and Certification of Arms and Military Equipment is currently testing this upgraded aircraft.

The tests were conducted in two stages: ground and flight. 33 flights were performed with a total of 40 flying hours.
