The Ukrainian military showcased the combat use of the American-made HARM anti-radiation missiles from the MiG-29 fighter jet.

Footage featuring the combat work was published by the Air Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This video confirms that Ukraine is using Soviet-made fighter jets to fire the AGM-88 HARM missiles designed to hit radars.

“The Ukrainian pilot shot and edited a video during his combat mission. Ivan dedicates this video to his fallen brother Yevhen Lysenko, who heroically died in an air battle with the Russian invaders on March 9,” the Air Force of Ukraine reported.

An AGM-88 missile with a conical shape of nose was captured in the frame under the wing of the MiG-29, next to the R-73 air-to-air missile. Later, the video showed these missiles being launched by the fighter jet.

It was previously reported that the United States has adopted the HARM anti-radiation missiles for the MiG-29 fighters.

Colin Kahl, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, mentioned that Ukrainians have been using AGM-88 missiles with great success in recent weeks.

In early August, the first news about the defeat of Russian positions using AGM-88 HARM missiles appeared. However, back then, it was not yet clear from which platform the Ukrainian military launched those American missiles.

On August 8, the US Department of Defense confirmed that it had provided the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with anti-radiation missiles.

The missile targets the high-frequency radars. HARM calculates the location of the target and is able to hit it even if the radar has been turned off. The latest modifications are designed to hit the radars equipped with changing operating frequencies.

HARM is designed for American combat aircraft, some European ones, and now Soviet-made fighter jets, which are in service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
