Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Russian BMP-3 near Zelenyi Shlyakh village in the Kursk region
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops destroyed several BMP-3s and Akhmat armored vehicles.
Soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade and the 103rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade carried out the combat operation.
One of the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles was intercepted by a strike drone from the Strike Drone Company’s unmanned systems battalion.
It was moving near the village of Zelenyi Shlyakh, which is under Russian control.
The second BMP-3 was destroyed by Territorial Defense strike drones from the other side of the village.
Two destroyed Russian armored vehicles Z-STS “Akhmat” were already located on the site of the destroyed BMP.
These Akhmat armored vehicles were specially designed for one of Chechnya’s security forces after the outbreak of war in Ukraine.
The vehicle is based on a commercially available KamAZ-5350 truck chassis. Its armored hull module is mounted directly on the chassis frame. The roof has a hatch with a turret for a machine gun or other weapon.
It is possible that the Akhmat armored personnel carriers destroyed near the village of Zelenyi Shlyakh belonged to Chechen militants fighting on the side of Russia.
This settlement is located on the left flank of the Kursk group of Ukrainian forces. According to DeepState analysts, the Russians managed to push through this flank and occupy the village in the first half of October.
“The enemy has recently brought in a lot of equipment and manpower,” analysts stated.
Recently, the Russian invaders committed another war crime near the village of Zelenyi Shlyakh, executing nine Ukrainian prisoners of war.
