Ukrainian artillery knocks out Russians from Verbove village
Ukrainian artillery eliminated the Russian soldiers who occupied the village of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Artillerymen of the 47th Brigade are conducting combat operations in this area.
The artillerymen are using all available ammunition without hesitation to destroy even ordinary Russian vehicles in the village.
The video released by the military shows the defeat of enemy infantry and their vehicles.
It is worth noting that Ukrainian reconnaissance drones are also flying over the village quite freely, adjusting artillery fire.
Probably, the settlement of Verbove became one of the next tasks for the liberation of Ukrainian territories from Russian occupation.
This settlement is located near the village of Robotyne, which was recently liberated by the Ukrainian military.
Recently, the spokesman for the Ukrainian General Staff, Andrii Kovalev, said that the troops are making progress toward Verbove.
“In the Novodanylivka – Verbove direction, we have had success and are consolidating the milestones achieved,” the spokesman said.
Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, also noted that the Russian army was withdrawing amid a breakthrough in the Zaporizhzhia sector.
“When our troops are directly advancing, the enemy no longer has a chance to consolidate the defense that has been torn, so after a while it becomes a “breakthrough” defense. That is, the advance of our troops is obvious in geography, it demonstrates that the enemy forces are retreating,” the spokeswoman noted.
In addition, Humeniuk explained that any settlement is an opportunity to gain a foothold and build additional defense lines around it, “in order not to be driven out of it and to aim more firmly and accurately at the enemy’s further defense.”
