Ukrainian Buk SAM system hit a russian plane

Rare footage of a russian plane crashing after being hit by Ukraine’s anti-aircraft missile system has appeared.

Ukrainian serviceman Yuriy Kochevenko released video footage of a missile hit by a Russian plane.

The plane was shot down from the 9K37M1 Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile system. The place and date of the event are not reported.

The type of downed Russian plane is still being determined.

The Buk is a family of self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile systems that are being used to engage aerodynamic targets.

The upgraded version received the 9K37M1 Buk-M1. The modernized system was tested in 1982.
