Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked a border facility in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

The local media reported on this.

A small ammunition depot has reportedly caught fire in Rakytne, a town about 25 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border.

Using terrain features, the OSINT community identified the location of the warehouse, which was located at the coordinates 50.85619364612742, 35.90822632648259.

Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the fire was recorded at a non-residential facility and that evacuations were underway from the surrounding residential buildings.

The means of destruction were not reported, but based on the short distance of the settlement from the border and the lack of evidence from local residents about the sound of the shell, it can be assumed that the weapon was a drone.

The drone version of the story is supported by a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense, which states that at around 2:20 p.m., air defense forces “repelled an attack by a UAV over the territory of the Belgorod region.”

It is worth noting that the reports of the explosion in Rakytne appeared at 2 p.m.

Strikes on the territory of Russia

Ukrainian Defense Forces constantly conduct strikes on Russian territory to complicate logistics and reduce the enemy’s economic potential.

On June 6, Militarnyi reported that a group of attack drones hit a Russian oil refinery in Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov region.

According to preliminary data, the strike damaged the Elou-AVT-2.5 atmospheric vacuum oil distillation unit.

According to public data, two such units have been deployed at the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery, each with a capacity to process about 2.5 million tons of oil per year.

On June 3, it was reported that the Ukrainian military destroyed a large convoy of Russian vehicles using drones near the border in the Kursk region.

Aerial reconnaissance of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade and the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade detected a large number of Russian military vehicles moving in a single convoy along a road three kilometers from the border with the Sumy region.

The 15-vehicle convoy consisted mostly of KAMAZ and Ural army trucks and semi-trailers.
