Ukrainian flag raised over Robotyne

The Ukrainian Armed Forces raised the national flag over the village of Robotyne.

The flag was raised by soldiers of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, who had been fighting for this village for several months.

“The blue and yellow flag with the signature of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine flew on the school destroyed by the Russian invaders on the National Flag Day,” the Brigade said.

This settlement in the Zaporizhzhia region was a powerful defense point for the Russian invaders.

The road to the village ran through numerous minefields, which the Ukrainian military had to pass under fire.

On August 22 Ukrainian authorities officially announced that the Armed Forces had entered the village of Robotyne.

This is an important settlement, and heavy fighting for it has been going on for three months.

Robotyne is a small village of 3 square kilometers, where less than 500 people officially lived before the war. However, during the Russian-Ukrainian war, it acquired an extremely important tactical significance.

The fact is that the settlement lies on the road from Orikhiv to Tokmak. This logistics hub of the Russian army is about 20 kilometers away from Robotyne.

Further from Tokmak lies the town of Melitopol, one of the main targets of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.

It is not surprising that in early June 2023, the Ukrainian army began active operations in the direction of Robotyne. One of the main drivers was the newly created 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

As previously reported, the Russian invaders abandoned their modern T-90 Proryv tank in Robotyne.
