The Ukrainian military recaptured the BTR-4Е armored personnel carrier from the Russian invaders during the counteroffensive actions in the Kharkiv Region.

Photos of this Ukrainian armored personnel carrier were released by analysts from the “Tisk” group.

“The Ukrainian BTR-4 captured by the Russians a few months ago, returned to the real owners during the battles in the Kharkov direction,” the report said.

The Ukrainian military said that the armored personnel carrier has no critical damage.

“It seems the vehicle is still quite combat-ready. Welcome home,” the Ukrainian forces said.

This BTR-4Е belonged to the soldiers of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade and was lost in March 2022.

BTR-4E APC is an armored, wheeled, four-axis, amphibious combat vehicle, on the basis of which a family of vehicles was created (command, mobile command post, medical, repair and evacuation, etc.).

This armored personnel carrier is a purely Ukrainian development that has passed the full cycle from “clean desk” to entrance into service.

Armament:

  • Combat module “Parus”;
  • 3ТМ-1 30mm gun;
  • 30mm automatic grenade launcher KBA-117;
  • Machine gun КТ 7,62-мм;
  • Remote-controlled anti-tank missile system.

The vehicle was mass-produced in Ukraine and was planned to enter the units of the Armed Forces and the National Guard.

They gradually replaced the armored personnel carriers left over from the Soviet-era.

The BTR-4Е was baptized by fire in June 2014 during the Anti-Terrorist Operation in the Sloviansk region.
