Ukrainian military received 500 FPV drones with thermal imaging camera
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have been reinforced with FPV drones equipped with a thermal imaging camera.
A batch of 500 drones was handed over to the military by the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation.
This batch cost UAH 18,749,500. It was purchased thanks to donations from people who cared and support from Uklon and Fest Lokal.
“Summer is over, daylight hours are shortening, so we are sending another large batch to the units – 500 10-inch FPV drones with thermal imaging cameras!” said Prytula.
The foundation noted that these drones were “effective in cutting logistics routes and destroying enemy equipment during its night time movement. And this is not their only purpose.”
As part of the project Revenge Swarm 24/7, the foundation has to raise another 1000 FPV:
- 500 10-inch daytime drones;
- 500 10-inch drones with thermal imaging cameras.
The Foundation calls on all those who care to join the fundraising.
Previously, the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation handed over a Shark-D unmanned aerial vehicle to the 11th Battalion.
It was purchased thanks to a donation from Astarta-Kyiv in the amount of UAH 7,696,909.50.
The transferred unmanned aerial vehicle will ensure high-quality aerial reconnaissance and fire control of Ukrainian artillery.
As previously reported, a Ukrainian defense company Odd Systems, which specializes in manufacturing FPV drones and various components for them, is currently developing a new thermal imaging camera for drones, Yaroslav Azhniuk, co-founder and CEO of The Fourth Law, told Militarnyi.
