German partners handed over to Ukrainian rescuers the UAVs that will help in liquidating the consequences of emergency situations.

The press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this.

It is noted that Serhii Kruk, Head of the State Emergency Service, met with Karl-Heinz Banse, Head of the German Fire Services Association, Oliver Rasche, Founder of Alpha Robotics Germany GmbH & Co.Kg, and Jan Südmersen, Founder and President of the civil protection organization.

During the visit, representatives of German organizations handed over 10 drones to Ukrainian rescuers.

“Since the very beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of our state, the German people stood in solidarity with the Ukrainians in this war… The German Association of Fire Brigades and Alpha Robotics Germany GmbH & Co.Kg and Wilhelm Barth GmbH & Co. KG provided humanitarian aid in the form of firefighting robots, field kitchens, tents, generators, protective equipment, hydraulic tools, firefighting equipment, etc.,” the Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine shared.

The published photos also captured a Wolf R1 tactical response robot produced by Alpha Robotics Germany.

Wolf R1

It is a tactical response robot that can be used to extinguish fires, work in areas that may be contaminated with harmful substances, and execute any other work of the State Emergency Service.

The weight of this robot is about 900 kg and depends on the equipment used. Wolf R1 is equipped with several cameras – it has 4 static directional and 2 dynamic and tower cameras, which can provide 360 ° visibility. There is also a special compressed air system to clean the cameras as needed.

The drone is equipped with additional lighting, which allows it to operate at any time of the day.

The Wolf R1 fire system efficiency is up to 2000 l/min at an operating pressure of 10 bars (optionally expandable). The effective throwing distance is 65 m for water and about 45 m for the foam mixture.

The robot is also equipped with a cable winch with a 2.4 t tractive force. There is also a sliding pod for stability when using a winch with a large load.

It can also be equipped with a manipulator, fan, and other equipment depending on the tasks performed.

Ukrainian rescuers already received such robots in December last year, when Germany and Estonia handed over additional equipment for the State Emergency Service.
