Ukrainian Special Forces receive GALAXY Trident 8 boats

Benefactors handed over to the Ukrainian military two GALAXY Trident 8 multipurpose boats.

They were acquired by the Serhii Pritula Charity Foundation.

They are able to perform a wide range of tasks: landing, search and rescue, diving, fire covering.

For special forces operators on boats there are ammunition niches, diving ladders, additional seats, fasteners, and machine guns’ mounting points.

“There will be two Browning heavy machine guns mounted on each [boat]. Navigation systems, radio communication, echo sounder are integrated,” the foundation said.

It is stated that GALAXY Trident 8 has a 400 horsepower engine and can reach speeds of 80 km/h with its crew.

“The 8-meter boat, with 400-horsepower engines, is capable of carrying up to 12 soldiers at a speed of more than 44 knots,” the benefactors added.

GALAXY Trident 8 boats are offered by the Ukrainian BRIG MOTORS company, which sells and services water equipment in Ukraine.

A new development in 2023, the Galaxy Trident T8 is a powerful and maneuverable RIB-class boat (rigid-hulled inflatable boats).

It makes it possible to use a variety of professional devices: special equipment and diving equipment, scientific equipment, and means of rescue and patrol.

Now the Ukrainian Defense Forces are strengthening themselves with various patrol boats. Border guards recently received UMS-425 CC patrol boats from the EU.

40 Defiant patrol boats, which Ukraine received from the US Navy, began guarding the Dnipro River.
