Ukrainian Startup Fund supports projects on military technology development
The Ukrainian Startup Fund, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, will provide grants up to $35 000 for projects related to the development of military technologies, defense, and cybersecurity.
This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov.
The Minister stressed that military-tech development is a state priority for the coming years.
“It is important for the state to support startups that make drones, engage in cybersecurity, and develop military technologies,” he wrote in a Telegram channel.
Fedorov noted that this will help minimize human casualties among the Ukrainian military and win the war with Russia.
“The grant program of the Ukrainian Startup Fund supported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation doesn’t just provide irrevocable financial support to projects, it also gives access to the best mentors and experts. If you have a project in the field of defense, cybersecurity, infrastructure recovery, education, or health care, apply for this grant,” the Minister of Digital Transformation emphasized.
In addition, Mykhailo Fedorov invited people with experience in the field of defense and infrastructure to become experts in evaluating grant applications.
“Your knowledge will help startup development,” the Minister said.
The Security Service of Ukraine recently used strike drones to destroy Russian military armored vehicles.
Three Russian T-72 main battle tanks were hit by the drones of the SSU counterintelligence department.
Presumably, the fighters use a retrofitted drone for the ammunition launch.
It is worth noting that since 2014, Ukraine has been actively using retrofitted drones for combat missions. Ukrainian fighters use various converted ammunition for these drones, such as VOG-17 or even RKG anti-tank grenades.
