Volunteers together with the Defence Intelligence are raising funds to purchase the Ukrainian-made kamikaze drones.

The DI’s press service announced this.

On Wednesday, the Charitable Foundation of Dmitry Hovorenko “Hovor Help,” together with the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, launched a large-scale fundraising campaign to purchase loitering munition.

The plan is to raise UAH 20 million. The organizers did not disclose the details of the project.

The DI noted that blogger and volunteer Ihor Lachenkov (Lachen) supported the “Hovor Help” initiative.

Ukrainian artists, musicians, and performers, including Zlata Ohnevich, Oleksander Krivoshapko, Lea Lee, SKYLERR, Serhii Komarovsky, and others, also joined the information campaign to support the project.

This is not the only joint project that the DI has launched with Ukrainian volunteers.

In November, the Come Back Alive Foundation and Ihor Lachenkov, blogger and volunteer, announced a fundraising campaign to implement the Black box project with the DI.

The aim of that fundraising campaign was UAH 230 million.

At the beginning of the campaign, Defence Intelligence reported the initiative was already being implemented. At that point, its total cost was 40 million hryvnias.

“According to our estimates, only in October, the project, which we call Black Box, caused millions of dollars in damage to Russia. Together with donors and all concerned Ukrainians, we will continue to influence the combat capability of the enemy,” said Major General Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the DI.

The fundraising campaign was closed last week, as reported by the Come Back Alive Foundation.
