Paratroopers show destroyed Russian tanks, crew near Bohorodychne
The Armed Forces of Ukraine disrupted the Russian attack near Bohorodychne village in the Donetsk Region.
The Command of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published photos of the defeated Russian forces.
The Ukrainian military neutralized at least six Russian tanks during the battle.
The paratroopers also eliminated several Russian servicemen, capturing the rest.
The repulse of the attack was carried out by soldiers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade and the 81th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.
“During the battle, our paratroopers burned down 5 tanks in one combat area. Those crew members who survived the fire were taken prisoner,” – the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces Command announced.
According to the released photos, at least six Т-72 main battle tanks were neutralized in total.
The battle took place near Bohorodychne in Kramatorsk district (formerly Sloviansk district) of the Donetsk Region.
The village of Bohorodychne is located on the right bank of the Siverskyi Donets river, on the northern slope of the Donetsk ridge.
The Sloviansk – Sviatohirsk highway passes through the village.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russians are currently trying to improve the tactical position of their units in the Sloviansk direction.
Offensive actions of the enemy in the Bohorodychne area failed after a shelling. The invaders withdrew with casualties.
