Russian General Goryachev was eliminated in Ukraine
Russian Major General Sergei Goryachev was eliminated as a result of the successful actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He was the Chief of Staff of the 35th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation.
Russian propagandists reported the elimination of the general of the Russian invasion army on the territory of Ukraine.
Their publications noted that Goryachev died as a result of a missile strike.
Yuriy Mysiahin, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, wrote in his Telegram channel that the Russian General was killed along with other Russian officers in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Sergei Goryachev was promoted to the rank of major general during the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine.
He first served in the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation. During his service, he commanded the Russian contingent in unrecognized Transnistria, as well as the 27th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade and the 201st Military Base in Tajikistan.
In addition, Goryachev was the head of the training center of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Khabarovsk.
After more than a year of full-scale war with Ukraine, Goryachev was promoted from the commander of the 5th Separate Tank Brigade of the Russian invasion forces to the deputy commander of the 35th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Ground Forces.
He received the rank of a major general and was also appointed to the post of chief of staff of the army.
Goryachev was also entered into the Myrotvorets database as a Russian war criminal.
It was reported that between 2014 and 2017, he served as part of a group of Russian invasion forces in Donbas.
