Paratroopers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade fought off a Russian assault in the Kurakhove sector.

The video of the repulsed assault was posted on the brigade’s official Telegram account.

This time, the Russian soldiers tried to break through the Ukrainian positions using small groups of infantry supported by tanks and soldiers on buggies.

The attack on the paratroopers’ positions took place without engineering reconnaissance. It was carried out blindly, which did not allow for an organized breakthrough to the positions of the Ukrainian defenders.

The attack was fought off near the village of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region, where paratroopers are fighting against daily Russian attacks.

Due to an unsuccessful offensive attempt, the enemy lost two tanks, two armored infantry fighting vehicles with troops, and two buggies.

Personnel losses amounted to 25 killed, and 30 invaders suffered various injuries.

The 79th Brigade has been holding positions in this sector for a long time, but the enemy keeps trying to break through.

Militarnyi previously reported that the soldiers of the 79th Separate Tavrian Air Assault Brigade repulsed a massive Russian attack in the Kurakhove sector of the Donetsk region.

A total of 30 units of armored vehicles were involved in the assault, including 5 tanks and 25 armored vehicles with troops.

During the battle, 33 invaders were killed, and the same number were wounded. The righteous airborne fire simply burned out some.

Enemy convoys were spotted early by aerial reconnaissance and hit with artillery fire and kamikaze drones before they reached the outskirts.
