225th Assault Regiment Eliminate Russian Forces in Donetsk Sector
Tank crew of the 225th Assault Regiment shot an enemy assault group at close range in the village of Sribne, Donetsk sector.
The brigade’s press service released the video on the issue.
It is reported that reconnaissance discovered a place where Russians had gathered, and two tanks of the 225th Regiment were sent to the coordinates and worked out the target.
“There were up to 10 invaders in the building. They are still there, but in the status of dead,” the regiment said.
Observers from the WarArchive channel determined that the event took place in the village of Sribne, Donetsk region.
According to the footage, the invaders’ infantry was entrenched in a local dilapidated school. Ukrainian forces used two T-series tanks to destroy them. At the same time, one of the tanks left the battlefield after firing only a few shots, probably due to a malfunction.
After the second tank fired about ten shots at the building under drone control, it also left the battlefield.
Until recently, units of the 225th Assault Battalion operated in the Kursk oblast. In particular, this unit was one of the first to go on the offensive at the beginning of the Kursk operation on August 6, 2024. However, it is not known whether the regiment was completely redeployed to a new direction or only some of its units.

In early February 2025, it became known that the 225th Assault Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had been expanded into a separate assault regiment.
The 225th Battalion was created on March 8, 2022, as part of the 127th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of Kharkiv. In less than a year, the unit underwent combat training and became a separate assault battalion of the Ground Forces.
The reorganized assault regiment has called for new recruits to join the unit due to its expansion. In addition, the unit offers to return soldiers who have left the unit without permission until March 1 this year, guaranteeing reinstatement, decent pay, full benefits and social guarantees.
The 225th Regiment is mostly composed of volunteers who joined at the beginning of the Russian invasion. Since the recruitment of prisoners began, they have been supplemented by a number of parolees.
