Reconnaissance officers of the 425th “Skala” Assault Battalion cleared mines from the priority passages for the offensive.

A video of the officers’ work on clearing field roads from mines was published by the battalion’s press service.

The clearing of the road took place in the area of Novohrodivka settlement for a potential offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of Novohrodivka mines.

To accomplish this work, two officers on an ATV, supported by a reconnaissance drone with a thermal imager, began to work closely together under the cover of night, searching for and clearing field roads for equipment.

According to the brigade, the Russians left scattered anti-tank mines of the TM family without burying them in the ground, which made it easy to detect them with a reconnaissance drone.

While performing this task, the officers came under artillery fire from the enemy howitzers, which damaged the ATV.

After removing mines from two road forks, the officers began to quickly return to cover when their vehicle stalled due to a fragment hitting the fuel tank.

Nevertheless, they managed to run to the shelter. According to the brigade, these actions allowed the units of the 425th “Skala” Assault Battalion to capture the enemy positions in a few days.

It is also noted that the brigade’s units were engaged in the defense of the positions in the Pokrovsk direction, where the Russians continued to attempt to successfully assault the positions of the Ukrainian defenders.

Despite this, the soldiers of the 425th Assault Battalion with the support of an M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle stormed and captured the enemy positions near Pokrovsk.

A smoke screen was deployed in the area of the assault operation in advance, which blocked the movement of the infantry fighting vehicles and infantry from the enemy surveillance and anti-tank missile systems.

The Ukrainian assault group landed and entered the enemy trench in an organized manner, during this time, having completed the task, the combat vehicle began to return.
